What is R&R Report Writer, Xbase Edition?Every day, users submit information to File.org about which programs they use to open specific types of files. When you download the RB 2.0 or RB 3.0 from the Microsoft Download center and then install it, you will be prompted to read and accepta a EULA. This EULA clearly states that you need to use RB in conjunction with specific licenses of SQL Server.It does not mean that you need to license each user machine - it means that you must have appropriate licenses in place. SQL Server in general is licensed in two ways:1) CAL - each user must have a client access license.
You pay a smaller upfront fee for the server and then you add users at a cost per user2) Per CPU - each server is licensed to handle arbitrary numbers of users to the capacity that can be handled by the number of licensed CPUs on the computer.Either way, you do need to have purchased and licenses SQL Server.
