MehThis item works ok if you have a TV with no tuner. In my case, My TV does have a tuner. Where my TV's tuner pulled in some channels with the antenna in a certain location, when I hooked this up, it had a hard time with some of the same channels coming in and the antenna in the same spot.All in all, if you are going to hook this up to a set that has no tuner, or to an older analog set, go for it. Our only comment is it takes about 15 seconds to load it's program before our channel comes on and about 10 seconds to change channels for the image on the screen to change. But other than that, the unit is great.It also has a USB slot that you can play your digital photos or even a movie from a stick drive.You can even record a movie onto the stick drive from the Ematic unit.All in all, a good product that works well.Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Pre-owned.

What's the difference?The newer ones, when you find a show you want to program, you press the OK button and it goes into the queue with channel, date and times to start and stop.With the older ones, It's like the old vcr days. You have to manually type in the date, stop and start times, channel.
